Brand
Leadership

Fractional strategic & creative brand leadership to help businesses make it happen.

I work with founders and leadership teams to create greater clarity around the business and the role brand should play in it.

The strongest businesses don’t treat brand as something owned by marketing. They use it to align people, sharpen decisions, strengthen their position and create the conditions for growth.

A fresh, outside perspective. Embedded in your team.

Business-first thinking

Your business may be growing, becoming more complex, entering a new market, attracting a different kind of customer or trying to behave like a more mature organisation.

What worked when the business was smaller starts to feel less useful. The story becomes harder to tell, the creative work becomes less consistent, and people begin making decisions from different versions of what the company is trying to be.

That is usually the point where I get involved.

My background is in strategy, design and creative direction, so I tend to approach these problems from both sides. I care about the thinking, but also about what happens when that thinking meets the real world: the work people make, the decisions teams take, the people you hire, the partners you choose and the standards you maintain.

I don’t believe brand should sit to one side of the business as a layer of expression. At its most useful, it helps a company make sense of itself. It gives people a clearer basis for deciding what fits, what doesn’t, where to focus and how to move forward without losing coherence.

Sometimes the work is concentrated around a particular moment of change. Sometimes I stay involved as an ongoing strategic and creative lead, working with the existing team and bringing in specialist talent when it is needed.
